Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using GrocerSage. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. The Service
GrocerSage provides a grocery management application that includes pantry tracking, shopping list generation, receipt scanning, price comparison, and community store mapping features. The Service is available on Android and iOS mobile devices and via web browser.
2. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
One account may be associated with multiple household members through the group sharing feature. Each member should use their own account credentials.
3. Free and Paid Tiers
GrocerSage offers a free tier and a paid Smart Shopper subscription. Features available on each tier are described in the app and on grocersage.com. We reserve the right to change tier features with reasonable notice.
Subscriptions are billed through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Refunds are subject to the respective store’s refund policies. Credits earned through community contributions are not redeemable for cash.
4. Community Contributions
When you contribute to the community database — by scanning aisle signs, submitting prices, confirming item locations, or reporting stockouts — you grant GrocerSage a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, and display that contributed data as part of the Service.
You must not submit false, misleading, or malicious data. Abuse of the community contribution system may result in credit revocation or account suspension.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape the Service
- Create fake accounts or manipulate community data
- Upload receipt images that do not belong to you
- Circumvent subscription restrictions
6. AI-Generated Content
GrocerSage uses AI to extract data from receipts, parse voice input, and generate insights. AI-generated content may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of extracted receipt data before relying on it for financial decisions. GrocerSage is not liable for errors in AI-generated price comparisons or pantry predictions.
7. Price and Community Data Accuracy
Price comparisons and community signals are based on data submitted by users and are provided for informational purposes only. GrocerSage does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any price data. Always verify prices in-store before making purchasing decisions.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GROCERSAGE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO FINANCIAL LOSSES BASED ON PRICE COMPARISON DATA.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting privacy@grocersage.com.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will provide notice of material changes via email or in-app notification.
